The consumer products safety team at McGuireWoods advises and represents clients on matters involving the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). We help our clients ensure regulatory compliance, product safety, and reduce the risk of exposure to penalties and fines.
We have more than 30 years’ experience handling CPSC-related matters. We aid our clients in developing protocols to help ensure compliance with requirements under the Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSA). When recalls are necessary, we help our clients negotiate, develop, and manage corrective action plans. In addition to product recalls, we also assist clients in responding to CPSC inquiries, requests, and investigations. We routinely advise clients concerning reports submitted to www.saferproducts.gov.
We represent manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers whose brands and products are household names. Some of the many categories of products for which have successfully handled CPSC-related matters include furniture, lawn and garden equipment, apparel, electrical products, power tools, toys, sports equipment, nursery products, grills, kitchen products and residential safety devices.
