Corporate Counsel Rate McGuireWoods Among Client Service Elite for 13th Time

December 14, 2018

General counsel at large corporations rated McGuireWoods among the elite law firms for client service in BTI Consulting Group’s “Client Service A-Team” report, the 13th year the firm has ranked among the top 30 in the annual survey.

The report is based on feedback from top legal decision makers at companies with revenue of $1 billion or more. McGuireWoods is one of only 10 firms to make the coveted “Client Service 30” list 13 times or more.

Regarding McGuireWoods, the BTI report noted: “Maintaining a superior client service experience for 13 years requires a deep dedication to knowing — and adapting to — your clients’ needs. . . . Clients also make note of McGuireWoods’ deep understanding of industry and business dynamics. Clients appreciate the firm taking this knowledge and using it to help clients anticipate — and mitigate — their next big risk.”

McGuireWoods earned recognition in all 17 performance categories that corporate counsel consider essential to sustaining strong relationships with their law firms, including client focus, value for the dollar, commitment to help, bringing together national resources and breadth of services. Clients affirmed McGuireWoods’ commitment to those relationships in interviews with BTI researchers.

“They provide us with great value,” one client said. “They have excellent client service and a deep understanding of our business.”

“We are grateful that our clients continue to recognize us as trusted advisers and innovators who are committed to their success,” said McGuireWoods Chairman Jonathan Harmon.

The “Client Service A-Team” report is based on more than 350 interviews with corporate counsel between Jan. 11 and Nov. 28, 2018. BTI performs in-depth analysis of client experiences and is a leading strategic research provider to the legal community. The top-rated firms comprise the “Client Service 30.”
