Alyssa’s extensive transactional experience extends across a variety of industries with a particular focus on private equity-backed healthcare and corporate transactions.

Alyssa regularly represents private equity funds, institutional co-investors, strategic acquirers, independent sponsors, founders and executives in a wide variety of transactional matters, including platform and add-on acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, control, minority, growth and structured equity investments, divestitures, joint ventures, recapitalizations, commercial transactions and corporate governance matters.

Alyssa also serves as a strategic corporate advisor to private companies, assisting with their financings, commercial agreements and corporate governance and compliance matters.

Alyssa is active in the healthcare private equity community. She regularly authors McGuireWoods industry studies and serves as an expert contributor and moderator on emerging deal points and trends in the healthcare investment sector.

  • Representation of a leading medical group specializing in digestive and liver health and a portfolio company of one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, in multiple transactions including acquisitions of gastroenterology practices nationwide.
  • Representation of a Michigan-based leading provider of home and community-based healthcare services in its acquisition of a provider of care and services to adults and children with disabilities in Florida.
  • Representation of a private equity-backed ophthalmology platform in multiple add-on acquisitions including a premier LASIK eye centers and multi-location ophthalmology practices
  • Representation of a leading provider of regulatory and quality consulting and engineering services to medical device companies, in its sale of equity to a private equity investment firm located in New Jersey.
