The Department of Labor’s (DOL) final overtime rule will take effect December 1, 2016, and based on DOL estimates, will expand overtime protection to cover more than 4.2 million additional workers. The financial impact of the increased salary threshold is very real for educational institutions and nonprofit organizations.
