McGuireWoods partner Brian Riopelle (IP/Litigation Patents) was featured in the Law 360 Dec. 15, 2009, article, “Verizon, T-Mobile Didn’t Infringe Dialing Patent.” The article discusses this week’s verdict in favor of McGuireWoods’ client Verizon Wireless, and several other wireless carriers in a massive patent infringement case. The jury, after deliberating for less than two hours, ruled the wireless carriers did not violate a patent by selling wireless aircards, and it declared that the dialing technology patent at the center of the suit – held by DNT – was invalid.
