The American Coal Council (ACC) features McGuireWoods partner Len Marsico in Issue 1 for 2015 of its American Coal magazine, introducing him as one of the newest additions to its board of directors. Marsico, who leads McGuireWoods’ coal team, took part in an interview detailing his career history, as well as his thoughts on U.S. energy policy and impending regulatory changes within the industry.
“The true benefit of the policy behind these regulations is − in reality – a miniscule, often a statistically insignificant improvement to the public health,” says Marsico in quoted material. “Yet the ultimate cost will be a retreat from energy independence.”
Marsico will be the only practicing lawyer on the 18-member board, and will serve on the ACC’s governing body throughout 2015 and 2016.
