Legal media are touting to readers the valuable information provided in a white paper written by McGuireWoods partner Steve Gold, titled “Bitcoin Basics for Corporate Counsel.” Steve’s white paper discusses the top eight things corporate counsel should know about this online “cryptocurrency,” which is both a new Internet technology and a new financial medium, expected to have a growing impact on businesses. On June 2, Today’s General Counsel posted a short announcement titled “The Basics On Bitcoin for Corporate Counsel,” which points directly to Steve’s white paper. Corporate Counsel magazine, available via online subscription, posted a similar announcement, titled “Bits of Bitcoin Wisdom for In-House Lawyers,” on June 4.
