Law360, Managing IP, Bloomberg Law and Commercial Dispute Resolution were among the news organizations that covered the return of McGuireWoods partner Andriana Shultz Daly. Daly rejoined the firm after nearly four years as in-house counsel at pharmaceutical company Indivior Inc.
Daly has 15 years of experience handling complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. Her clients include pharmaceutical and life sciences companies, medical device manufacturers, telecommunications providers, financial institutions, and colleges and universities.
In an interview with Managing IP, Daly said her experience at Indivior broadened her perspective. She managed a litigation portfolio that included Hatch-Waxman matters, antitrust and securities class actions, and product liability multidistrict litigation. She also served as primary legal adviser on compliance, advising on government agreements and internal investigations as well as Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act compliance, employment issues and other matters. Daly said she looks forward to collaborating with McGuireWoods’ growing healthcare and life sciences industry team and returning to trial work.
“I missed being in court and getting the opportunity to argue motions,” Daly said in Managing IP’s Sept. 5, 2025, story. “I love this firm because it has been home to me since I was an associate.”
In Law360’s Sept. 3, 2025, story, Daly said she worked with outside counsel on every facet of Indivior’s cases, but “when game time rolled around, I had to step to the sidelines as more of a coach than a player.”
“My playing days aren’t over, and there is no team I would rather join than McGuireWoods,” she added. “The firm’s commitment to excellence and client service is unparalleled.”
