McGuireWoods LLP announced today that Jerry M. Saccone has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the asset-based lending group, a division of the firm’s Capital Markets Department. He will focus his practice on representing clients in asset-based lending, restructuring and insolvency matters. Prior to joining the firm, Saccone was assistant general counsel for Bank of America Business Capital in New York, where he worked for the past 24 years.

“Having dealt with McGuireWoods while at Bank of America, I know how strong this firm values client service and its commitment to having one of the preeminent financial practices in New York,” Saccone said. “I’m excited to join this team, and look forward to applying my experience to a broad range of clients in the financial services and asset-based lending industries.”

“We are very excited to have Jerry join our firm, especially at a time when our clients are looking for guidance to help them weather the financial crisis,” said Philip Goldstein, managing partner of the firm’s New York office. “This is a time of growth for our New York office, and Jerry adds key capabilities in asset-based lending to the wide range of financial services representation that we offer our clients.”

Saccone is a member of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys. He received his law degree from New York University School of Law in 1979; and his undergraduate degree from Queens College, CUNY in 1974.
