McGuireWoods LLP announced that Thomas L. Becket, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Land Use Department, has been named a 2010 “Leading Lawyer” in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business for his real estate law work.
This year, 61 McGuireWoods attorneys and 12 practice groups were recognized overall. The firm’s wealth management as well as its products liability and mass torts practices were ranked among the nation’s leaders in those areas. The wealth management practice ranked as one of only two firms in the country receiving the band one, or highest rank possible, for the second consecutive year.
Chambers USA and its sister publications, including Chambers UK, Chambers Global and Chambers Student, are published by Chambers & Partners. The publications list the top lawyers in 175 countries, based on 14,000 interviews conducted by Chambers researchers.
