The Pittsburgh Business Times has recognized McGuireWoods partner Leonard J. Marsico for his stature in the coal industry, naming the accomplished litigator as a recipient of its 2015 Energy Leadership Award. The annual awards by the respected regional business publication honor individuals, companies and organizations for significant contributions to western Pennsylvania’s energy sector.
Marsico, who maintains offices in Pittsburgh and Washington, chairs McGuireWoods’ Complex Commercial Litigation Department and leads the firm’s coal industry team. In January, Marsico began a three-year term on the board of directors of the American Coal Council, the premier trade association representing the shared interests of the nation’s coal producers, utilities, transporters and coal support industries.
