Norfolk Office Managing Partner John Padgett was recently elected as chairman of the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance.
The alliance serves as the regional economic and development organization for Hampton Roads, a region of 1.4 million people that includes Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Newport News in southeastern Virginia.
The Alliance, or HREDA, has consultants and staff located throughout the United States and the world who promote and develop economic growth in Hampton Roads.
Padgett also heads a search committee to recruit and hire the next president and CEO of HREDA.
