McGuireWoods’ Benjamin Hantz and Gregory Hawver are winners of The M&A Advisor’s 13th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards, which recognize and celebrate the achievements of young professionals in mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds and financings.
Hantz, a partner in Pittsburgh, handles private equity-backed transactions and other corporate transactions. He represents private equity funds, independent sponsors, family offices and institutional co-investors, public and privately held companies, and executives. He also has served as a panel moderator at McGuireWoods’ international Independent Sponsor Conference.

Hawver, a partner in Chicago, represents private equity firms, Fortune 500 companies, family offices and independent sponsors in M&A transactions across industries. He co-hosts the firm’s Deal-by-Deal podcast and is a co-author of the leading market study for independent sponsor-led transactions. Hawver leads transactions across industries, most notably healthcare.
