The Legal Intelligencer, an American Lawyer Media publication, has named McGuireWoods Pittsburgh partner Benjamin Hantz as a 2023 Professional Excellence Award winner in the “Lawyers on the Fast Track” category. The honor recognizes young lawyers for exceptional achievements.
Hantz handles private equity-backed and other corporate transactions. He represents private equity funds, independent sponsors, family offices and institutional co-investors, public and privately held companies, and executives. His deal work extends across industries including healthcare and life sciences, technology, energy and infrastructure, finance and consumer products. Hantz has served as a panel moderator at McGuireWoods’ international Independent Sponsor Conference and Emerging Manager Conference.
Hantz also provides pro bono representation to small-business owners, assisting them on LLC formations. He also represents pro bono clients in M&A and general corporate/commercial matters.
In 2022, Hantz received an Emerging Leaders Award from The M&A Advisor in recognition of his achievements in mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds and financings.
