Brian is senior vice president and director of McGuireWoods Consulting LLC’s South Carolina government relations group. He assists a diverse group of clients with government affairs strategies across the country. Through his national practice, he works with Fortune 500 companies and national organizations to navigate regulatory and legislative issues affecting their operations.
In addition to his national work, Brian represents clients before the legislature, local governments and executive branch agencies in South Carolina.
He has worked on issues including energy, health care, transportation, pharmaceuticals, alcohol, retail and nonprofit advocacy. He has extensive experience developing and implementing comprehensive government, grassroots and public affairs strategies for clients.
Upon graduating from The Citadel, Brian was commissioned as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army. In 2010, he deployed to Afghanistan with the 1-178th Field Artillery Battalion and served as the unit’s tactical intelligence officer. He is currently a captain in the South Carolina Army National Guard and serves as a legislative liaison.
Before joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Brian worked on a number of political and grassroots campaigns.
He lives in Columbia with his wife, Rachel, and their two daughters.
