Greg advises clients across the healthcare and life sciences sectors on complex corporate, transactional, and regulatory compliance matters. Drawing on a background in laboratory science and public health, he offers clients a practical understanding of the regulatory and operational challenges facing clinical and diagnostic laboratories, anatomic pathology, and fertility laboratory compliance.

Greg’s practice includes representing entities across the healthcare landscape, including hospitals, health systems, physician practice management companies, clinical laboratories, diagnostic test developers, and others in both transactional and day-to-day operational matters, with a focus on regulatory requirements, licensing, accreditation, and policy considerations.

Additionally, Greg is a prolific writer and speaker on healthcare nondiscrimination requirements under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and related state nondiscrimination laws. He advises healthcare entities on compliance with evolving federal guidelines, executive orders and rights of conscience and moral-objection protections.

Prior to entering legal practice, Greg served as a microbiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, routinely advising and training hospital and public health laboratories in various techniques and best practices, including infection control, quality assurance, quality management systems and compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments. He also addressed many national and international hospital outbreaks. Now, clients turn to him for legal counsel on outbreak response and emergency preparedness, clinical laboratory operations and innovative care delivery modalities.
