Yoojin Lee Partner

Yoojin is a partner in the Debt Finance Group in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She focuses her practice on representing financial institutions across a wide array of industries in domestic and international secured lending transactions with an emphasis on asset-based lending. Her practice also includes syndicated credit facilities, acquisition financing and has experience in debtor-in-possession financings.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Yoojin previously practiced law in Seoul, South Korea, where she gained experience in cross-border mergers and acquisition transactions and project financing transactions, as in-house counsel at a South Korean conglomerate and as a U.S Foreign Lawyer at a South Korean law firm. Her transactions, many of them international, have involved gaming businesses, research labs, clothing and accessory retailers and conglomerates, engineering companies, private equity funds, U.S. corporations with overseas subsidiaries, hotels and others. Yoojin was selected as a representative for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity in 2019 Pathfinder Program, SFNet’s 40 and under 40 and is on the firm’s Asian Pacific Lawyers Network and the firm’s Women Lawyers Network. Yoojin is a volunteer with Kids In Need of Defense, where she provides pro bono representation of minors in their immigration proceedings and is also an Adjunct Professor at the USC Gould School of Law, where she enjoys teaching legal writing.
