Kirwinn Mike is a trial-trained litigator who represents financial institutions, corporations, and individuals in commercial disputes, securities enforcement matters, and government investigations. He draws on nearly a decade of experience as a federal prosecutor and U.S. Navy Judge Advocate to help clients navigate complex regulatory inquiries, internal investigations, and high-stakes litigation.

Before joining McGuireWoods, Kirwinn served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Middle District of Florida, where he investigated and prosecuted matters involving healthcare-related diversion schemes, financial crimes, public corruption, national security, Hobbs Act robberies, firearms trafficking, large-scale narcotics conspiracies, and racketeering (RICO) offenses. He regularly coordinated with federal and state agencies, managed grand jury investigations, handled extensive motion practice, and tried cases before juries. His earlier military service included advising senior commanders, conducting internal investigations and representing the government in courts-martial and administrative proceedings.

Clients benefit from Kirwinn’s ability to quickly assess facts, develop investigative strategies, and provide clear, practical guidance in matters involving regulatory exposure or parallel civil and criminal risk. His practice includes commercial litigation, financial services litigation, internal investigations, and white-collar defense.

Kirwinn approaches each engagement with a focus on preparation, strategic communication, and practical problem-solving. He works collaboratively with clients to understand their business objectives and to position matters for efficient resolution inside or outside the courtroom.
