Sophie focuses her practice on government contracts and government investigations matters.

Before joining McGuireWoods, Sophie completed two clerkships. At the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Sophie worked on multiple bid protests and gained civil litigation experience. The year prior, Sophie clerked at the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, where she worked on multiple Contracts Disputes Act claims, both in informal litigation settings and in mediation settings.

During her time at The George Washington University Law School, Sophie served as the senior articles editor for the Public Contract Law Journal and as a research assistant for Dean Jessica Tillipman. She also externed at both the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals. Sophie received the Ruth Burg Government Procurement Law Scholar award as well.

Prior to law school, Sophie worked as a legal assistant at LexisNexis Special Services Inc. and received her B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Denver, Phi Beta Kappa.
