Louis focuses his practice on representing publicly traded and private companies in the energy, transportation, construction, and manufacturing sectors facing complex environmental and mass-tort litigation—particularly cases arising from catastrophic incidents—in both federal and state courts.
Before joining McGuireWoods, Louis worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas T. Cullen of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia and the Honorable G. Steven Agee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Louis graduated magna cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif from Washington and Lee University School of Law. During law school, Louis interned for the Honorable Frank K. Friedman of the Court of Appeals of Virginia and was a teaching assistant for the first-year legal writing program.
