K. Dennis Sisk Senior Conflicts & Audit Response Attorney

Dennis is a senior conflicts and audit response attorney in the firm’s Office of General Counsel. He provides legal advice to firm lawyers on conflict of interest issues involving new matters, new hires and law firm mergers. He also co-manages, with Bob Redmond, the firm’s Audit Response Letters team.

Dennis is a past President and Board Chair of the Virginia Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program (JLAP), previously known as Lawyers Helping Lawyers, and he remains active with that organization.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Dennis practiced law as a litigation attorney and partner with a national law firm for 19 years, and thereafter with other firms. He has experience in civil litigation, including energy, environmental, securities, insurance coverage, commercial, and constitutional litigation, as well as arbitrations and administrative agency rulemaking and adjudicative proceedings.

Dennis is a recipient of the E. Randolph Williams Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service (1997). While pursuing his law degree at Vanderbilt University Law School, Dennis was a member of the National Moot Court Team and received the honor of Order of the Coif for his academic standing. As an undergraduate, he received Vanderbilt’s Founders Medal in Oratory as a member of the debate team.
