Student and Employee Liability Risks Associated with School Safety Plans

Charlottesville partner Craig Wood spoke on “The New Title IX Regulations” at the annual conference of the National Federation of High School Athletics Associations on July 1. NFHS is a consortium of the state organizations that oversee high school athletics, forensics, robotics and other competitive activities.  The U.S. Department of Education in May issued new regulations overturning much of the Obama-era guidance on Title IX sexual misconduct obligations of K-12 and higher education institutions, and the new regulations go into effect August 12, 2020.
