Vivian Robinson Interviewed about UK Bribery Act

July 1, 2011

As the new UK Bribery Act, 2010, came into force on 1 July, Vivian Robinson QC, first general counsel to the UK Serious Fraud Office, was interviewed on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme about its implications.

“Any company wherever in the world it may be … can become liable to the provisions of this act if it has part of its business at least in the UK,” Robinson said during the morning broadcast.

Robinson, a main proponent of the UK Bribery Act, also spent the day conducting interviews with other media outlets, including Sky News and Bloomberg. He will be joining McGuireWoods London as a partner in the Government, Regulatory and Criminal Investigations practice on 1 Aug.
