Charlotte associate Rob Crawford published an April 27 article in Food Manufacturing magazine analyzing conditions driving consolidation within the U.S. private food and beverage label market.
In the article, Crawford examined a recent flurry of merger and acquisition activity within the food and beverage industry and reasons why private label companies and large retailers are likely to continue expanding their private label offerings. He said these reasons all “point to a period of continuing consolidation among private label food manufacturers as they seek to take advantage of a fragmented industry and respond to increasing pressure from retailers.”
