McGuireWoods renewables energy group chair Michael Woodard commented in a June 22 Law360 story about the most impactful regulatory developments this year.
While the costs of solar projects increased after President Trump passed a four-year tariff on solar imports, Woodard said, the industry has regained some certainty around pricing and “the impact of the tariffs could have been worse.”
He added that China’s oversupply of solar panels could counterbalance what impact the tariffs had on the industry and noted that “projects are getting done.”
