Bloomberg Law, Law360, Reuters, Law.com and Politico were among the national legal and news outlets that covered the recent arrival of partner Eric Snyder, who joined the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department in New York.
Snyder is an accomplished defense lawyer and former federal prosecutor who successfully led numerous international anti-corruption matters in his career. He was a prosecutor for 16 years, including eight years as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York. In an interview with Bloomberg Law, Snyder said the “center of gravity” for his practice will be in New York. He said he was drawn to McGuireWoods by the depth of talent in the Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department and the firm’s commitment to building on those capabilities.
“There’s sort of an impatience at McGuireWoods to build and grow,” Snyder said in the June 22, 2022, story. “There’s an energy that’s very interesting to me.”
The news coverage cited Snyder’s notable achievements as a prosecutor and high-profile engagements in private practice, including his recent representation of former U.S. Attorney General William Barr in connection with Barr’s deposition before the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
