The Daily Record Honors McGuireWoods’ Anna Horevay With Generation J.D. Award

March 17, 2022

McGuireWoods Baltimore associate Anna Horevay has been recognized as a 2022 Generation J.D. honoree as part of The Daily Record’s Leadership in Law Awards.

The award recognizes up-and-coming Maryland lawyers for outstanding dedication to their profession and communities. The winners, selected by an outside panel of legal and business leaders, will be celebrated at the Leadership in Law Awards ceremony on April 7, 2022, at the BWI Hilton.

Horevay focuses on public finance transactions, serving clients as bond counsel and counsel for underwriters, banks, developers and borrowers. She advises on financing structures using tax-exempt and taxable bonds, leases, tax credits and other governmental incentives.

Horevay has represented clients on projects that transformed communities throughout Maryland. Her experience includes land-secured transactions, incremental tax revenue pledges and public-private partnerships for governments, mixed-use developments, transportation facilities, continuing care retirement communities, renewable energy facilities, exempt facilities, multifamily housing and hospitals.

“It is an honor to be recognized in this year’s Generation J.D. class among a group of such extraordinary peers,” Horevay said. “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute to the Baltimore community and to work at a firm that values those efforts.”

In 2019, Horevay co-founded the Maryland chapter of Women in Public Finance, an organization that supports and advances the careers of women in public finance by fostering relationships and networking and by providing educational and learning activities. She serves as the chapter’s president and a member of its board of directors.

“Anna embodies the firm’s values of excellence, integrity, collegiality and community and we are delighted to congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition,” said Baltimore office managing partner Cecil Martin III.
