For the second year in a row, McGuireWoods partner Candace Ali Blydenburgh has been named one of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Go To Lawyers for Negligence Law” for her success representing corporate defendants in high-exposure cases in state and federal courts around the country.
Blydenburgh, based in McGuireWoods’ Richmond office, has a national practice representing corporate clients in catastrophic personal injury and product liability cases, mass tort matters, and insurance recovery and medical device actions. She serves as national product liability counsel for a medical device company. She has tried cases to verdict in Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina and Puerto Rico, among other locations.
“I am proud to be included with the distinguished lawyers selected for this honor,” Blydenburgh said. “I am grateful to my McGuireWoods colleagues for their support and to our clients who trust us with their most critical legal matters.”
Blydenburgh also was named one of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Influential Women in Law” in 2023 and was inducted into the Virginia Law Foundation’s Fellows Class of 2020.
“Candace is a trusted adviser and fierce advocate for corporate clients facing potentially significant exposure in litigation disputes,” said Samuel L. Tarry Jr., co-leader of McGuireWoods’ Product Liability & Mass Tort Practice Group. “This honor from Virginia Lawyers Weekly is a fitting tribute to her commitment to excellence.”
