McGuireWoods Richmond partner Candace Ali Blydenburgh was selected as one of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Influential Women of Law” for 2023. The recognition honors outstanding women lawyers and judges who make a difference in the profession and in their communities.
Blydenburgh — a member of McGuireWoods’ Products, Environmental & Mass Tort Litigation Department, chair of the African American Lawyers Network and a member of the Racial Justice Task Force — represents corporate defendants across the country in high-exposure, complex product liability, personal injury, breach of contract and toxic exposure matters. She has tried cases to verdict in Virginia, North Carolina and Puerto Rico. She also serves as national coordinating counsel for a transportation company and national product liability counsel for a medical device company.
Among her numerous honors, Blydenburgh has been repeatedly recognized for excellence in The Best Lawyers in America and Virginia Business’ Legal Elite. She is a fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation and chair elect of the Virginia State Bar Diversity Conference Board of Governors.
“It is humbling and an honor to be included in this group of respected attorneys,” Blydenburgh said. “I am grateful to family and friends for their encouragement, to my McGuireWoods colleagues for their support and to my clients for the opportunity to help them achieve their business goals.”
The 35 “Influential Women of Law” honorees will be celebrated at a May 23, 2023, awards event at the John Marshall Ballrooms in downtown Richmond.
