Athina is completing her third and final trainee seat in the Debt Finance department, having completed her first and second seats in the Commercial Litigation and Corporate departments in McGuireWoods’ London office.

She graduated from Queen Mary University of London and went on to earn her SQE LLM from BPP University, Holborn.

Experience

Commercial Litigation

  • Assisted in claimant-side trial preparation for high value aviation insurance commercial proceedings in the High Court.
  • Assisted in defendant-side trial preparation for emissions-related group litigation commercial proceedings in the High Court.

Corporate / Debt Finance

  • Worked on corporate transactions from initial due diligence stages through to closing and post-closing requirements.
  • Assisted in the case management of bilateral and syndicate finance deals and the drafting of related security documentation and ancillaries.
