Emma is a corporate lawyer who focuses her practice on the formation, structuring, and operation of private investment funds and other alternative investment products and related transactions, including buyout, credit, hedge, real estate, venture capital, hybrid, secondary transactions, continuation and rollover funds, spin-outs, funds of funds, funds of one, co-investments, managed accounts, investment vehicles for independent sponsors and other customized private capital transactions in U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions.
Emma’s experience encompasses a wide range of representation including large and middle market sponsors as well as first-time and other emerging managers. The private funds that Emma has represented cover a diverse range of investment strategies, including buyout, growth equity, private credit, risk mitigation, multi-strategy, special situations, cannabis, emerging markets, and municipal and government securities. Emma also advises institutional and high net worth investors in connection with commingled, fund of one, managed account, and seed investments. Emma has also represented clients in other investment and corporate transactions including public and private merger and acquisition transactions, business formations and restructures, commercial contracts and other legal matters across a broad range of industry sectors. Emma’s broad experience includes roles with law firms based in New York and Melbourne, Australia.
