Aliya is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation group. She represents financial service providers and commercial clients in high-stakes litigation involving, among other things, shareholder conflicts, real estate disputes, and consumer services. Aliya has experience in pre-trial litigation, including pleadings, motions practice, discovery, and alternative dispute resolution.

Aliya graduated from the Duke University School of Law where she studied as a Mordecai Scholar, based on her achievements in leadership and academics. She also served on the Moot Court Executive Board, through which she competed as a finalist in the Hardt Cup, a class-wide oral advocacy competition.

Before law school, Aliya earned her B.A. in economics as a Pogue Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
