From Norfolk, we serve the entire Tidewater Region including Williamsburg, Newport News, Hampton, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Suffolk. This large, diverse area is home to extensive manufacturing, distribution and service industries and large military installations for all of the armed services, particularly the U.S. Navy. Much of our work is maritime-related, reflecting the fact that Norfolk is a major East Coast seaport.

We also have strong international trade and transportation law practices. We represent large and mid-size businesses including shipping and ship repair companies, piers, crane leasing companies, as well as manufacturers and distributors from other parts of the world with a presence in this area. We also concentrate on banking, business (including securities, and mergers and acquisitions), creditors rights, education, health law, labor and employment, lending transactions, litigation of all types, real estate transactions and land use. Our major corporate clients in the area include banks, insurance companies, buyout funds and other financing sources, manufacturing and distribution companies, shipyards, and a multistate operator of cellular telephone systems. The office's varied litigation practice, in federal and state courts throughout Hampton Roads, includes major professional liability carriers and corporate clients. We try cases involving contracts, construction litigation, commercial lease litigation, business disputes, products liability work, insurance coverage and torts.
