BPE Deal Tracker: Minority-Owned Alternatives Investment Firm Funds Sponsor-Backed Physician Services Platform

March 7, 2024

o15 Capital Partners announced on March 5, 2024, the successful financing of a multilocation specialty physician services platform to help accelerate the platform’s future growth.

The investment firm’s Emerging Americas Credit Opportunities I fund is providing debt financing to help the company grow its geographic footprint and achieve its strategic objectives. In alignment with o15’s mission-driven approach, the company operates clinics in a low- to moderate-income track census, employs a diverse workforce, and serves a predominantly female and minority patient base.

o15 Managing Partner Kenneth Saffold commented that “the team at the company has outlined a compelling growth strategy across a specialized market including a large diverse patient base aligning well with our impact themes.”

Last year, Saffold participated on a panel at McGuireWoods’ Healthcare Private Equity and Finance Conference discussing, in part, the importance of access to capital for companies led by and serving diverse professionals and communities. He also will be a featured panelist at McGuireWoods’ upcoming Emerging Manager Conference to discuss opportunities for limited partners to create change with fund commitments.

o15 Capital Partners is a minority-owned alternatives investment firm with a mission to provide growth capital to undercapitalized companies and communities. Headquartered in Atlanta, o15 invests opportunistically in private credit and equity tranches of lower-middle-market companies across the United States.
