The Brussels office of McGuireWoods and the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium organised a roundtable discussion at the offices of McGuireWoods on Brexit. A presentation by André Sapir of Bruegel was followed by a discussion. The discussion covered practical commercial issues arising out of Brexit, as well as the future direction of the EU/UK talks and possible outcomes.
Bruegel is a major independent European think tank that specialises in economics and policy research covering a range of hot topics worldwide. Mr Sapir is co-author of the well-known paper “Europe after Brexit: A proposal for a continental partnership”, published soon after the UK referendum on Brexit in August 2016.
