Richard Greenberg Appointed to Key Role in New Diversity Mentoring Academy

August 4, 2008

The Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms (“Chicago Committee”) has selected Richard Greenberg, a McGuireWoods partner, to be a senior partner advisor of the Chicago Committee’s newly created Mentorship Academy.

As senior partner advisor, Greenberg will provide guidance and advice to minority lawyers in several large law firms in Chicago. He also is advising in the creation of the formal mentoring program used by the Chicago Committee.

“The Mentorship Academy will be the cornerstone of our current campaign to raise awareness and generate resources to increase diversity in Chicago’s large law firms,” Greenberg said.

Greenberg recently stepped down as managing partner of McGuireWoods’ Chicago office, is a member of the firm’s Board of Partners and plays a key role on McGuireWoods’ Diversity Committee, leading the committee’s retention efforts.
