Baltimore office managing partner Ava Lias-Booker has been named one of the winners of The Daily Record’s 2011 Leadership in Law Awards. A panel of judges selected 25 winners from more than 92 nominations. Ava was nominated by the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland, Inc.
The award recognizes outstanding work being done by members of the legal community throughout Maryland. Winners must devote time and energy to bettering the legal profession, as well as the communities in which they live and work. They also must mentor future professional and community leaders. The awards will be presented Nov. 18 and a profile of each winner will be featured in a special magazine to be published by The Daily Record on Nov. 21.
