Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers have chosen McGuireWoods as one of 2016’s “Best Law Firms for Women,” the seventh time in the survey’s nine-year history that the firm has been honored for its commitment to creating an outstanding workplace for women.
The annual survey recognizes 50 firms with leadership, parental leave, and flex-time policies designed to retain and promote women lawyers. The results are based on criteria that include representation of women in firm management, development, retention and promotion of women lawyers, flexibility, and parental leave policies. McGuireWoods gained special recognition for its leadership development program and for services such as backup care, eldercare planning and family leave liaisons, all of which help its lawyers succeed at the firm.
“Excellence, collegiality, diversity, and inclusion are core values at McGuireWoods. We are committed to providing a supportive and flexible work environment that allows us to attract and retain the best lawyers and provide superior client service. Our leadership and family-friendly initiatives reflect our dedication to these core values and make me proud to be a partner at McGuireWoods,” said Joy Fuhr, national chair of the firm’s Women Lawyers Network.
Working Mother Media publishes Working Mother magazine and its companion website, workingmother.com. Flex-Time Lawyers LLC is an international consulting firm that provides services to employers and professionals on work-life balance, retaining and promoting women and new models of legal practice.
