McGuireWoods Richmond partner Bill Boland was elected president of the Board of Visitors of his alma mater, Virginia Military Institute. His term as president begins July 1, 2017.
Boland was appointed to a four-year term on the Board of Visitors in 2013 and reappointed by Gov. Terry McAuliffe earlier this month. A two-year Keydet football letterman and 1973 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in history, Boland succeeds Board President John P. Jumper.
After graduating from VMI, Boland taught high school for several years before entering the University of Richmond School of Law and joining McGuireWoods in 1984.
