Lawdragon Honors McGuireWoods’ Amy Manning and Angelo Russo as Leading Litigators

October 17, 2022

McGuireWoods Chicago partners Amy Manning and Angelo Russo have been recognized among Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Litigators in America. The inaugural guide honors attorneys who excel representing corporations and other organizations in litigating claims involving antitrust, securities, financial, M&A, intellectual property and patents, product liability, mass tort, white collar, government investigations and energy disputes.

Chair of McGuireWoods’ Antitrust, Trade & Commercial Litigation Department, Manning handles criminal and civil antitrust matters for international and U.S. companies, as well as individuals, throughout the United States. She co-founded the Chicago Women Antitrust Lawyers Network — the first professional networking group for women antitrust lawyers in the area — and she served as vice chair of the 2022 ABA Antitrust Law Section international cartel workshop, the premier international antitrust enforcement conference.

Russo counsels individuals and international and domestic companies in criminal antitrust investigations and civil antitrust litigation. He focuses his practice on antitrust and trade regulation matters and compliance counseling, as well as healthcare, false claims, qui tam litigation and white-collar criminal defense. Russo has held several leadership positions within the ABA Antitrust Law Section. He leads McGuireWoods’ national recruiting committee.

“Amy and Angelo are outstanding lawyers and leaders who have made immeasurable contributions to the firm’s success,” said Dion Hayes, deputy managing partner for litigation. “We congratulate them on these well-deserved honors.”

McGuireWoods’ global team of antitrust and competition lawyers handles civil antitrust disputes, criminal cartel investigations and transactions clearance, and counsels on business and compliance issues and international competition laws. The firm earned two nationwide rankings for antitrust litigation in the 2022 edition of The Legal 500 United States, the respected independent guide to the country’s top firms and lawyers. The firm also received recognition for antitrust litigation in the 2022 edition of Chambers USA.
