McGuireWoods’ Garen Marshall Recognized Again on Lawdragon’s “Next Generation” List

McGuireWoods partner Garen Marshall has been selected for inclusion in “The 2026 Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation,” which recognizes emerging leaders shaping the future of the legal profession. Selections were based on nominations, independent research, and peer recommendations. It is the second consecutive year that Marshall has received the honor.

Based in Charlotte and New York, Marshall is a partner in the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department and leads the Artificial Intelligence Practice Area. He represents corporations, executives, and boards in government and internal investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, and complex civil litigation, with a practice that extends to AI governance, AI-related enforcement and litigation risk, and corporate compliance issues involving artificial intelligence.

“I am grateful for this honor and for the support of my McGuireWoods colleagues,” Marshall said. “I look forward to continuing to help clients navigate complex investigations, enforcement matters, and emerging risks, particularly as artificial intelligence becomes an increasingly important focus for regulators, litigants, and corporate boards.”

Before joining McGuireWoods, Marshall — a decorated U.S. Navy veteran — was a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. He served in the office’s National Security and Cybercrime Unit and Organized Crime and Gangs Unit.
