As chief marketing and business development officer, Joe oversees client relations and development, communications, media relations and marketing.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Joe served as chief marketing officer for two international law firms and as global director of business development for a third. A former practicing attorney and longtime legal journalist, he served as editor, publisher and senior business executive of American Lawyer Media, where he managed a range of publications and businesses, including The National Law Journal, Texas Lawyer and VerdictSearch. A frequent writer and speaker on topics related to law, marketing, business development, competitive intelligence and journalism, Joe currently serves as executive editor of the Legal Marketing Association’s international magazine Strategies.
