Léa A. Dickinson Associate

Léa focuses her practice on government contracts, government investigations, regulatory compliance, and white collar defense. She advises clients on contract performance disputes, alternative dispute resolution, litigation, and small business issues for government contractors and assistance awardees. Léa holds a certification from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Nuclear Energy Agency in International Nuclear Law Essentials.

Léa counsels recipients of government funding to navigate the legal, regulatory, and business challenges of working with federal, state, and local government agencies. She represents clients across multiple industries at all phases of the contract lifecycle from pre-award compliance counseling and protest litigation and defense to contract administration disputes and close-out negotiations. Léa represents government contractors in investigations involving the False Claims Act, the Federal Acquisition Regulation, small business programs, and Davis-Bacon Act compliance. She has represented clients before agency boards and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, as well as before alternative dispute resolution panels.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Léa represented clients as a member of the Government Contracts and Construction team for another AmLaw100 firm. Earlier in her career, she served as a litigation legal fellow with a litigation boutique law firm based in Washington, D.C.

While attending the George Washington Law School, Léa was a member of the Moot Court Board and Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. She served as a legal intern with the Small Business Administration and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Before law school, Léa worked as a project assistant supporting a business litigation practice group.
