Micaela focuses her practice on corporate healthcare transactional matters and regulatory compliance.

Micaela obtained her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While at Loyola, Micaela served as editor-in-chief for the Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences journal, a Beazley Health Law Fellow, president of Health Law Society, an associate editor for the Journal for Regulatory Compliance, a representative for the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and a member of the Billings, Exum, and Frye National Moot Court Competition team. Additionally, Micaela earned the Health Law Certificate, two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for earning the highest grade in a class, and the Leadership, Service, & Public Interest Award. Further, Micaela was the board fellow for the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys as a third-year law student.

Prior to law school, Micaela was employed by a private water utility where she worked to ensure safe drinking water for nine systems in California.

Micaela earned her undergraduate degree from University of Colorado, Boulder where she studied Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and minored in Spanish language and literature.
