Jackson Gossett is an assistant vice president on the firm’s South Carolina government affairs team in Columbia. He joins McGuireWoods Consulting after a stint in the U.S. Senate as a legislative correspondent, where he worked on issues related to business, finance, banking, and trade.
Previously, Jackson was an assistant to South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson, supporting constituent services and assisting the legislative team. He has also worked with the Republican Governors Association in Washington D.C., supporting campaigns and legislative efforts of governors across the country.
Jackson holds a B.A. in political science from the University of South Carolina with a minor in history.
