Nick Hoffman is a trial attorney who handles complex, high-stakes disputes. Nick has a national practice counseling and representing clients in major litigation in a wide range of industries, including technology, biotechnology, medicine, consumer products, software, food and beverage, apparel, entertainment, sports, and media.
In 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, Nick was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine. Regularly acting as lead counsel for billion-dollar companies, Nick is sought after for his creative strategies, business-oriented vision, and track record of outstanding results.
Nick is a graduate of UCLA School of Law, where he was an editor for the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology. Prior to law school, he earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA and worked at a biotechnology company developing blood diagnostics tests.

- Won dismissal of class action complaint filed against a publicly traded beverage company. (2024 WL 4414768)
- Won summary judgment on complaint filed against the nation’s largest manufacturer of fire safety equipment. Then, successfully upheld the win on appeal. (2023 WL 8885030)
- Won summary judgment on complaint filed against a leading manufacturer of gas detection equipment. (2023 WL 5811844)
- Won summary judgment on complaint filed against a major medical device company relating to a complex medical device. (2022 Cal. Super. LEXIS 72692)
- Represented major footwear company in an intellectual property lawsuit (trademark, trade dress, and unfair competition) against Walmart, relating to Walmart’s sales of over three dozen infringing shoe designs. Won preliminary injunction and obtained permanent injunction. (2022 WL 1601530)
- Obtained a trial victory on behalf of an agricultural company following a month-long trial. Won client a multimillion-dollar judgment, complete ownership of the patents-in-suit, and a permanent injunction. Then, successfully upheld the judgment on appeal.
- Obtained a trial victory for an entertainment company in a lawsuit relating to a well-known film property. Won cancellation of nine registered trademarks.
- Represented a major food distributor and grocery store in numerous coordinated Nevada lawsuits involving an alleged outbreak from chemical exposure.
- Represented one of the nation’s largest banks in defense of defamation and contractual interference claims. Obtained complete dismissal of lawsuit after filing anti-SLAPP motion.
- Represented the nation’s largest aerospace company in a product liability lawsuit in federal court. Obtained complete dismissal of lawsuit.
- Represented one of the nation’s largest supermarket chains in a lawsuit alleging a foodborne outbreak. Obtained complete dismissal of lawsuit.
- Represented a company founder in multidistrict litigation (MDL) encompassing thousands of coordinated product liability lawsuits, RICO actions, and consumer-fraud class actions.
- Represented a company executive in state enforcement action brought by California Attorney General.
