Alice guides clients who are navigating complex health data, policy and regulation challenges, with a focus on innovative uses of health information both in and outside of the traditional HIPAA framework. Her practice centers on helping health plans, providers and health information technology companies navigate complex compliance and policy questions involving health data governed by HIPAA and/or state data privacy laws.
Alice’s experience spans leadership roles across the health policy and innovation landscape, including serving as vice president and senior counsel at Executives for Health Innovation in Washington, D.C., where she helped establish a national privacy framework for the governance and use of health data beyond HIPAA. She also previously directed health information technology policy at the National Partnership for Women & Families, leading initiatives to advance the responsible and innovative use of health information. Drawing on these experiences, Alice helps clients anticipate and manage the evolving regulatory and policy landscape, translating complex data governance challenges into clear, compliant and forward-looking strategies.
