David Mollenkamp focuses on government investigations, regulatory compliance, and litigation related to Administrative Procedure Act claims. While in law school, David interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, National Courts Branch, where he drafted motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment in the Federal Circuit on behalf of the United States and authored a brief supporting the federal government’s right to a jury trial in a trade fraud matter.
He was also a member of Stanford Law School’s Religious Liberty Clinic where he argued a motion to dismiss in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of a client and engaged in settlement negotiations on behalf of a church in southern Arizona.
Prior to law school, David worked as a compliance associate at a global asset management firm, where he mitigated regulatory and reputational risk through analysis of client and associate documentation and provided guidance on compliance matters.
Before that, he served as a teaching fellow at St. Paul’s School and an Annenberg Fellow at Eton College, where he taught courses in history, literature, and politics. He also worked as a research assistant at Stanford Graduate School of Business, analyzing immigration legislation, and interned at the National Archives, where he authored educational materials on United States foreign policy.
