Nicolas represents financial institutions and financial technology companies in a wide range of cases, from small individual plaintiff actions to more complex corporate disputes. His practice has provided him with experience in defending claims under the Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), among other federal banking and credit regulations. He has worked on cases at all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts in California.
Nicolas graduated Order of the Coif from the University of California, Davis, School of Law. During law school, he served as an articles editor of the UC Davis Law Review, worked as a research assistant for several professors, and externed in the chambers of Federal Magistrate Judge Dennis M. Cota of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California.
