Rubin’s practice focuses on healthcare transactional and regulatory matters for a variety of healthcare companies, investors and providers. He takes pride in getting to know his clients and utilizes savvy business strategies in order to help them achieve their goals.

His experience includes representation of hospitals, health systems, medical practices, physical therapy practices, and health care services companies in acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side), joint ventures, general corporate matters, and corporate governance and compliance.

Rubin also helps clients navigate corporate practice of medicine, Stark law, federal Anti-Kickback Statute, and state and federal fraud and abuse laws when exploring complex transactions.

  • Representation of an orthopedic rehabilitation services company in its $1.1 million acquisition of assets from a Texas-based hand and upper extremity therapy practice.
  • Representation of an orthopedic rehabilitation services company in its $2.3 million acquisition of assets from an Arkansas-based physical therapy practice.
  • Representation of large not-for-profit healthcare system in $17 million sale of retail pharmacy business to Rhode Island-based health solutions company.
  • Representation of large not-for-profit healthcare system in $2.3 million acquisition of assets from Nevada-based primary care physician practice.
  • Representation of North Carolina-based outpatient physician-directed psychiatric practice in $10 million sale of all issued and outstanding stock and certain of its assets to a private equity backed national provider of outpatient mental health services.
  • Represented healthcare services company in its $2.5 million acquisition of assets from an Ohio-based retail pharmacy.
  • Representation of Michigan-based health system in integration resulting in $13 billion health system and largest employer in Michigan.
